About me
ยท 1 min readI work in one of the most process-heavy industries in the world and spend most of my time trying to remove unnecessary process.
I'm an engineering leader in mobile banking, based in Bordeaux, France. I work on delivery, production reliability, and the teams that build the product.
Learning
Learning is at the center of most things I do. I read more than 100 books a year and listen to a lot of podcasts covering history, philosophy, science, tech, and business. I'm drawn to ideas that challenge how I think or help me see something I'd missed.
I also enjoy tinkering with tools, apps, and programming languages. Finding better ways to do things, at work or in everyday life, is a hobby in itself.
Bordeaux
Bordeaux produces more wine than the whole of Germany. Most people who visit come for that. I stayed for everything else.
How I try to live
I'm working toward a simpler, more deliberate life: fewer commitments, less noise, more depth. I'm selective about what gets my time and attention, and I take full responsibility for the choices I make.
I prefer slow, substantive conversations over small talk. The kind where you actually change your mind about something.
